The Annual luncheon was held on Friday 21 August at the Masonic Hall in Leith Walk (1 Shrub Park Lane). The News and Events page describes the event and includes a photo.
The Lothians will be represented in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, on Remembrance Day.
The first newsletter was issued in early September. The second newsletter was issued just before Christmas.
To date, all previous members and friends received both newsletters; however from now on all members of the
Lothians Association will receive a copy of newsletters. See below if you want to become a member. If you wish to
contribute to newsletters, please contact the Secretary (contact details on the newsletter, or email as above).
Anyone wishing to further the aims of the Association may become a member. Membership is £10 per annum; the first year ends 30 June 2010 and payment is to be made by 30 September 2009. The payment for each year thereafter is due by 30 June for the forthcoming year.
The overall aim of the Lothians Association is to preserve the name of the Regiment and all those who served in it, from Walter Scott onwards.
The objectives are:
(a) to provide a means for ex-Lothians and friends and family of ex-Lothians to keep in touch; and
(b) to promote the history and activities of ex-Lothians.
The members of the committee are:
Chairman: Arthur Symington;
Vice-Chairman: Ian Forbes;
Secretary: Bronwyn Bainbridge;
Treasurer: Susan Forbes;
Other committee members: Sandy Peacock, Gerry Hunter.
